The Top Tier bench is a collaborative project I created with my classmate Hannah Vedder. It is designed to be used in the community park, located in Blue River, Oregon. The design of the tier bench invites people of all ages to sit and watch friends and family as a result of its two-tiered arrangement. The bench is made completely from 11 gauge sheet metal and finished with a powder coat. Each bench is made of four main parts, two body pieces, and two side supports. These pieces are then attached to each other using tamper-resistant screws and then secured to the ground using concrete anchors.
The Top Tier Bench was featured in the 2022 WantedDesign Online International Schools Show. This project has also gone through production with OCE and is currently on display at the University of Oregon's White Stag Building.
